Hall Landscaping & Design is a North Walsham based landscaping company. They required a website that would advertise their services to customers across Norfolk.
Their services fall into three main categories; landscaping, garden design, and garden maintenance. They also requested a portfolio system similar to our, to show off their past work, a blog, a contact form, and social media integration. The customer had an existing website and blog, the contents of which needed importing into the new website.
We used a responsive website design where the page contents is arranged automatically to suit the screen size. The site included links to all of their social media channels, which included Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, and Pinterest. We also added social sharing buttons on the blog and portfolio pages to encourage visitors to share.
The portfolio included options for embedding image galleries and videos, a summary of the skills used for each job, and different categories for their different garden styles.
Trust was an important consideration so we embedded some trade membership logos in the footer of each page, and repeated the logos on the ‘Landscaping services’ and ‘Contact Us’ pages. We also added some customer testimonials to the main service pages, and the company address in the footer.
We optimised the site for local SEO and included some metadata in the code to help google identify and categories the pages. Finally the site was given a full SEO audit to help the customer make the most of the content they already had.
